Cette espèce est bien distincte phylogénétiquement des autres Somatochlora (Letsch & al. 2016, Kohli & al. 2018).
Répartition
- Chine [?] (une indication à confirmer : Deliry 2020).
- Japon (bien répartie, jusque dans le Sud : Deliry 2020).
- Russie (Kouriles : Deliry 2020).
Cette espèce n'est connue qu'au Japon où elle est bien répartie sur l'ensemble de l'archipel principal, descendant volontiers dans le Sud. Une indication au cœur de la Chine mérite confirmation. Elle est présente ponctuellement au Kouriles (Russie) (Deliry 2020).
Phénologie
Vole, tardivement, depuis (juillet) août à octobre (iNaturalist [2020]).
