Commentaires

Ce taxon apparaît pour la première fois sous Agrion delicatum Hagen, 1858 (nomen nudum) de Sri Lanka. Il sera pleinement décrit de Tahiti, sous Agrion aurora par Brauer en 1865. Il semble rangé dans le genre Ischnura par Schmidt en 1938.
Ce taxon se trouve de toute évidence dans un genre voisin d'Ischnura dans un ensemble comprenant les genres Amorphostigma et Pacificagrion, nommé clade I par Marinov (2022, fig.2 : p.6). Je propose Amorphostigma [2022].
Ce taxon pourrait en fait être limité au domaine australo-pacifique et être représenté par d'autres espèces ailleurs. A suivre...

Depuis l'Inde et le Sri Lanka, aux Tuamotu, les Marquises et la Nouvelle-Zélande, répandue en Micronésie (Lieftinck 1962).

Habitats

Etangs ensoleillés, rizières [2019].
