[1] - Ce taxon est daté de 1907 (page 726) par Tillyard (1910). Il précise que le Dr F.F.Laidlaw a examiné l'exemplaire immature en "mauvais" état, de Synthemis leachii déposé au British Museum et l'a comparé avec Synthemis martini et il n'a pas de doutes sur le fait qu'il s'agit de la même espèce. Il s'agit donc d'un synonyme (Tillyard 1910).
