Commentaires
Le nom féminin, correct pour ce genre, est appliqué par [à préciser !] et repris ensuite (Bright [2020], Paulson & al. [2026]).
Je laisse cette espèce américaine dans le genre Cordulegaster, avec une certaine [grosse] marge d'incertitude (inc. sedis) (Deliry [2022]), alors que Schneider & al. (2024) la place dans le genre Zoraena en tant qu'espèce de ce continent. [à préciser !] + [A vérifier !]
Le protonyme exact est (Cordulegaster) Cordulegaster maculatus de Selys Longchamps, 1854, comme je le souligne "anciennement", résumé selon la version utilisée pour cette espèce dans le cas de Fraser (1929), sous Cordulegaster maculatus.
Répartition
- Etats-Unis (Michigan : C : Bright [2020]).
Habitats
Ruisseaux et cours d'eau forestiers relativement grands, de bonne qualité. Les adultes restes près des cours d'eau. (Bright [2020]).
Phénologie
Espèce se développant probablement en plus de trois ans, on trouve trois classes de taille différentes chez les larves dans le Michigan (Etats-Unis) selon Ethan Bright. L'émergence se déroule au début du mois de juin. Des ♀ en ponte s'observe dès début juillet (Bright [2020]).
