J'ai proposé l'infra-ordre des ''Platystictida'' en 2023 de manière à équilibrer la [[Classification phylogénétique]]. Il n'est pas utilisé par la [[Classification officielle]] (Paulson & al. [{{CURRENTYEAR}}]). J'ai proposé l'infra-ordre des Platystictida en 2023 de manière à équilibrer la Classification phylogénétique. Il n'est pas utilisé par la Classification officielle (Paulson & al. [2026]). La version de 2025, Platystictaria est bien formée avec la bonne terminaison pour un infra-ordre, mais n'est pas "habituelle".
Dumont & al. (2010) distinguent bien les Platystictidae comme une entité particulière des Zygoptères, mais subordonnée aux Lestomorphes.
