Commentaires

J'ai restauré cette famille en 2014 (Deliry 2014, 2018), composée de deux genres : Gomphomacromia et Archaeophya. Cette option est confirmée par Goodman & al. (2025) sur la base d'études approfondies de type génétique et morphologiques, option suivie sur la WOL, avec maintien toutefois dans la super-famille des Libelluloidea s.l. (Paulson & al. [2025]). Toutefois le CSIRO (2022) souligne la fragilité des proposition de Bechly ([1998]) pour cette famille et considère que le genre australien Archaeophya n'a pas lieu d'être exclu des Corduliidae (com., 10 janvier 2026).
