En raison de sa grande proximité avec les Epiophlebiidae, cette famille fossile devrait être rangée parmi les Anisozygoptères (= Epiophlébioptères). Notons que Bechly & Poinar (2013) avaient rangée celle-ci dans les Epiophlébioptères que je range finalement en "synonymie" avec les Anisozygoptères (cf. sensu novo hic 2022).
