			En utilisant une approche d'échantillonnage qualitative pour étudier les [[odonates]] le long des systèmes hydrologiques à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de quatre zones protégées majeures dans le sud du [[Ghana]] (à savoir la réserve forestière d'Atewa Range, la réserve forestière d'Ankasa, le sanctuaire de la vie sauvage d'Owabi et la réserve forestière de Bobiri), un total de 66 espèces d'[[odonates]] dans sept familles comprenant 28 [[Zygoptères]] et 38 [[Anisoptères]] ont été enregistrées. Les ''[[Libellulidae]]'' (n= 36) présentaient le plus grand nombre d'espèces, suivis par les ''[[Coenagrionidae]]'' (n= 10) et les ''[[Calopterygidae]]'' (n= 5). Si l'on considère le nombre d'espèces observées dans chaque zone protégée, c'est la réserve forestière d'Atewa Range qui présente le plus grand nombre d'espèces (n= 51), suivie de la réserve forestière d'Ankasa (n= 47), du sanctuaire de faune d'Owabi (n= 44) et de la réserve forestière de Bobiri (n= 43). Les espèces tolérantes aux perturbations dominent dans les habitats situés à l'extérieur des différentes réserves forestières, tandis que les spécialistes de la forêt prédominent à l'intérieur des réserves, ce qui indique la qualité du couvert forestier qui s'y trouve.
