The LIFE project &amp;quot;Peatlands&amp;quot; implemented in 2003-2007 on the Saint-Hubert Plateau has allowed the restoration of more than 600 ha of wetlands. The more than 3,000 water bodies of various sizes and the seeps created during this work represent a very important biotope potential for dragonflies. The monitoring programme that has gradually been put in place has had a major impact, since the number of species recorded on the massif has doubled in five years to 37 species. Many species that are rare in the Ardennes and on the Plateau are now present in many sites. Logically, the numbers of several pioneer species such as &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Libellula depressa, Orthetrum coerulescens, Ischnura pumilio&amp;#039;&amp;#039;,... have increased. However, species typical of peaty environments such as &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Aeshna juncea, Leucorrhinia dubia&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Somatochlora artica&amp;#039;&amp;#039; also show a remarkable expansion. The monitoring programme should be restarted this winter to continue to follow the evolution of the distribution of this biological group.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
