			Depuis sa description, ''[[Onychogomphus boudoti]]'' Ferreira, 2014 n'est connu que de deux localités au [[Maroc]] dans une partie limitée des montagnes du Moyen-Atlas. Le statut et la distribution de cette libellule rare et menacée ont été établis par une recherche intensive en juin 2022. Vingt localités occupées ont été trouvées dans la province de Khenifra, au [[Maroc––, dans la partie sud-ouest du Moyen-Atlas. Ces signalements ne confirment pas seulement les localités connues mais étendent également sa distribution connue de 100 ha à 15.500 ha. Sur la base de ces résultats, sa préférence d'habitat avec les associations climatiques et géologiques et les principales menaces affectant son statut sont discutées.
