			''[[Phylloneura]]'' Fraser, 1922 est un genre de demoiselles qui, jusqu'à présent, a été considéré comme monotypique, représenté uniquement par ''[[Phylloneura westermanni]]'' (Hagen ''in'' de Selys Longchamps, 1860) qui est endémique des Ghats occidentaux de l'[[Inde]]. Dans notre étude, nous avons découvert par hasard une population de ''[[Phylloneura]]'' près des collines de Ponmudi, à Thiruvananthapuram, qui présentait des différences morphologiques et comportementales par rapport à ''[[Phylloneura westermanni]]''. Nous la décrivons ici comme une espèce nouvelle pour la science, en fournissant des photographies et des illustrations détaillées. Nous fournissons également des notes sur son comportement reproductif.
