			''[[Nesocordulia]]'' Mclachlan, 1882 est un genre de libellules peu connu, endémique de [[Madagascar]] et des [[Comores]]. Le genre a été révisé et les douze espèces ont été décrites, dont six nouvelles : ''[[Nesocordulia coloratissima]]'' sp. nov., ''[[Nesocordulia evanida]]'' sp. nov., ''[[Nesocordulia fossa]]'' sp. nov., ''[[Nesocordulia ipsio]]'' sp. nov., ''[[Nesocordulia lyricauda]]'' sp. nov. et ''[[Nesocordulia odonator]]'' sp. nov. Toutes sont bien définies, avec des cerques, des hamules et une coloration des {{m}} distinctes. Une clé d'identification des {{m}} de toutes les espèces est fournie, mais elle est basée sur un seul spécimen pour six d'entre elles. Seules six espèces de {{f}} sont connues. Si plusieurs radiations de genres d'[[Odonates]] avaient déjà été reconnues dans la région malgache, ''[[Nesocordulia]]'' est le premier à être découvert dans le sous-ordre des ''[[Anisoptera]]''. Toutefois, en raison du manque de données, les facteurs exacts de leur diversification restent flous. Alors que sept espèces sont connues dans la zone forestière humide et subhumide de l'est et du nord-ouest de [[Madagascar]], et que seules ''[[Nesocordulia coloratissima]]'' et ''[[Nesocordulia villiersi]]'' Legrand, 1984 semblent confinées respectivement à l'ouest de [[Madagascar]] plus sec et aux [[Comores]], les lieux exacts de collecte de trois espèces restent inconnus.
