Commentaires - Notez que de Réaumur (1742) souligne que les ♂ de ce genre sont plus grands que les ♀, un phénomène qui ne me semble pas repris dans la littérature et qu'il serait simple de vérifier [wOw : Deliry : 2023].
Les ♂ de ce genres ont le plus souvent des taches pigmentées sur les ailes, ce qui apparaît comme un caractère sexuel secondaire [wOw : Deliry : 2020]. Une synthèse pour les espèces d'Europe a été faite par Rüppel & al. (2005).
