Commentaires - Cette espèce a été décrite d'abord sur la base d'une larve (Tillyard 1921). [Depuis], tant la larve que l'imago de cette espèce sont décrits (Büsse & Ware 2022).
Epiophlebia diana décrit à partir de larves collectées dans l'ouest du Sichuan en Chine (Carle 2012), a "d'abord" été rangée en catégorie douteuse (Dijkstra & al. 2013, Büsse 2016, hic 2019). Elle n'est connue que par sa larve. Le type semble perdu selon Büsse (2016). Elle vient d'être mise en synonymie avec Epiophlebia laidlawi par Büsse & Ware (2022) [2 novembre 2022].
